We have 2 three bedroom / two bath LUXURY log cabins, Cabin 001 and Cabin 002 and the Cedar Lodge located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and Frio Canyon, right on the banks of the Frio River. All are on the banks of the beautiful Frio River among the century old Cypress Trees. We believe we offer a unique Texas Hill Country experience in the quiet, secluded surroundings along the Frio River.
Each 2200 sq. ft. luxury log cabin has a native Limestone rock fireplace with a mantel made of Cypress wood from a tree which was on the property. The Spruce logs and exposed beams were shipped over 2500 miles from British Columbia, Canada. The Aspen which was used for the walls and cabinets is from Colorado. Maximum sleeping accommodations are for 10 people. The 3 bedrooms consist of one king, one queen, one with bunk beds and a twin with trundle. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the great room. We provide all bed linens and bath towels. Please bring your own river towels.
The Cedar Lodge is a 2750 square foot luxury lodge. The ceiling to floor windows in the dining/living area provide an excellent view of the beautiful Frio River below. The cabin’s interior and exterior walls are 100% cedar while the floors and ceilings are made of beautiful, natural pine. The great room/dining area features expansive 20’ ceilings with solid wood beams adding to the already spacious downstairs living area.
Granite countertops accentuate the kitchen, bar and all bathrooms.
The Master bedroom downstairs has a King sized bed, with a private shower/tub combo bathroom.
A new washer and dryer, provided for your convenience, are next to the half bath downstairs. All new, quality towels and linens are included for your convenience.
Upstairs in the loft that overlooks the open downstairs area, is a twin sized day bed and game table. Further down the hall you will find a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds -- plenty of room for the kiddos. At the end of the hallway is another large and spacious bedroom with a Queen sized bed. A roomy bathroom with a shower/tub combo service the bedrooms on the second level.
For additional guests, the great room has two Queen sized sofa beds.
The large cedar deck overlooking the Frio has plenty of outdoor seating and provides an excellent gathering place to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Tubing, swimming and kayaking in the Frio River are just out the back door. Cedar Lodge is located 9 miles from Garner State Park and a short, scenic drive through the hills takes you to Lost Maples State Park. Let us be your hill country river getaway!
The Frio River Oasis is a large 5 bedroom, 4 bath home on the Frio River just east of Leakey. In the entrance is a quiet sitting area for reading or visiting. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a eating bar and dining table. The spacious living room features tile floors and a propane fire place. The Master bedroom has a 2 king sized beds, with a large private shower/tub combo bathroom. Downstairs there are three additional bedrooms. One has two queen beds and large walk, second has a single queen bed, and the next one has a queen size bed and a set of twin bunk beds. There is another full-size bathroom with shower/tub combo downstairs. A washer and dryer, provided for your convenience, are next to a half bath downstairs as well. Towels and linens are included for your convenience. Upstairs is a bunk room with two queen beds and twin bunk beds for additional guests. There is a large gazebo with a picnic table and chairs overlooking the Frio River and a firepit provides excellent place to just sit and enjoy the peaceful setting or visit with guest. Tubing, swimming and kayaking in the Frio River are just out the back door. Let us be your family and friends gathering place!
La Vida La Frio
La Vida La Frio (The Frio Life) is a large 6 bedroom/4 bath home on the Frio River just west of Leakey that sleeps up to 21 people. The house features a breeze way through the center of the house that allows the wind to flow through to a back covered porch/patio that has tables and chairs set up for your entertaining and relaxation. On the left side of the breezeway is a fully equipped kitchen with a eating bar and dining table. The spacious living room features stained floors, big screen TV, WiFi, and view of the river. The Master bedroom has a king bed, as well as a private bathroom with a shower. There is an additional king size bedroom on this side of the house. And another bathroom that opens from the hall with a tub/shower combo. Then on the right side of the breezeway are three additional bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a king and a twin size bed. The third bedroom has a queen and twin size bed. There is a large bathroom downstairs with a walk in shower with vanity and a separate room for the toilet/ vanity. Also for an additional charge, you can rent the sleeping area upstairs that enters from the outside back porch/patio. This area has an open room with 3 queen and 2 twin beds. There is also a bathroom with a shower. A washer and dryer, provided for your convenience. Towels and linens are included for your convenience. There is a deck overlooking the Frio River and a fire pit located on the landing below the deck with an additional patio as well. This home offers excellent place to entertain with family and friends or just sit and enjoy the peaceful setting. Tubing, swimming and kayaking in the Frio River are just steps away. Also enjoy watching the wildlife such as deer, turkey, and birds from the porch and deck. Frio River Paradise - This Frio River Bank Log Cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths and sleeps up to 12 guests. The master bedroom has a king size bed and flat screen TV, the other corner bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed with a flat screen TV, the third bedroom has three single beds and the fourth bedroom has a queen and a single. This Cabin is built very much like the other two cabins with real logs and Aspen paneling. Also, a large wood burning fire place. It has a large back porch overlooking the Frio River for swimming, tubing, and fishing. There is a large open living, dinning, and a complete kitchen area for family gatherings and home cooking. All the linens and bath towels are provided. Just 15 minutes from Garner State Park and 25 minutes for Lost Maples State Park. Please see the pictures.
